In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of banned rituals and monstrous transformations reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.

The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Features

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
